8/74 Street Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Probably late C17 to early C18. Timber-frame on high rubble plinth, tiled roof and external stone stack with detached brick shaft. Rectangular plan of three structural bays aligned roughly north/south. Two storeys. West elevation (away from road): one window, a 2-light late C19 casement to centre and an 8-pane fixed light window to right; between the two is an early C20 glazed door; the left hand side is obscured by the side stack, from which projects a single-storey mid-C19 out building (not included). The frame is two panels high from the high plinth to wall-plate and has angle struts to most corner posts.
