Description
Hyde House is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It features a timber frame with plaster and brick infill, set on a plinth of brick and sandstone rubble. There is a brick ridge stack located to the left of the center. The main range of the building runs roughly north-west to south-east and includes an eastern extension and a projecting wing to the north at the east end. The house has two storeys.
On the south elevation, there are three windows with 20th-century casements, and a 20th-century bay window is roughly central to the left side of the entry, which has a glazed door and a gabled porch. The timber frame consists of four panels high from the cill to the wall-plate. The west gable features V-struts above the collar, supported by triple posts.
