Description
The Stone House is a house that likely dates from the early 19th century. It is built of brick and features a hipped tiled roof with brick stacks at the ends. The building has three storeys and a symmetrical facade with two windows on the outer sections and one in the central bay, all set in segmental openings. The top floor has glazing-bar sashes, while the other floors have larger panes of glass. Plat-bands separate the storeys, and the central bay is slightly advanced, featuring a six-panelled door. The front walls are made of brick and stand about 7 or 8 feet high, while the return walls are primarily constructed of sandstone rubble. A mounting block is located to the left of the garden entry at the base of the brick walling.
