Description
Terrace Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century and was extended in the mid-20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with brick infill, a tiled roof, and an off-ridge brick stack that has a rendered brick extension. The building consists of two bays that are aligned roughly east to west and has two storeys.
On the south elevation, there is a mid-20th century lean-to that includes two steel casements and a glazed door between them. The chimney is rectangular and has a dentilled brick cornice. The west gable has one mid-20th century steel casement on each floor, along with a glazed entry into the lean-to on the right side. The frame of the farmhouse has three panels high from the cill to the wall-plate, and the gables feature raking struts from the collars to the principals, as well as angle-braces from the tops of the corner posts to the tie-beams and wall-plates.
Inside, the principal ground-floor room has heavy ceiling beams with straight-cut chamfer stops.
