Description
The Butcher's Arms Public House is a building that was likely constructed between the late 17th century and early 18th century. Originally a house, it is now a public house. The structure is timber-framed with plaster infill and weatherboards, topped with a tiled roof. It features two large stone side stacks with brick shafts. The building has a rectangular plan oriented from north-east to south-west and consists of one storey and an attic.
The north elevation is characterized by the two prominent stone side stacks. To the left of the left stack, there is a group of three modern dormers with raking tops, and a single similar dormer is situated between the two stacks. The ground floor includes a modern casement window to the left of a glazed entrance porch, which is also positioned to the left of the left stack. The frame of the building is composed of three regular square panels from the cill to the wall-plate. At the rear, there is a large modern extension that is designed in a similar style, but it is not included in the listing.
