Description
Causeway Cottage is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century and was extended in 1984/5. It features a timber frame with brick and plaster infill, tiled roofs, brick end stacks, and a stone side stack. The house has three bays arranged east to west, with a basement, one storey, and an attic.
On the south elevation, there are two late 19th century canted bay windows, one on each side of a blocked central door, along with two gabled dormers, each containing 2-light casements. The frame consists of four panels high on the south side and six panels high from the basement on the north side. At the time of the re-survey in January 1985, a late 20th century extension was in the process of construction, projecting northwards.
