Description

This former cow shelter, located about 20 yards north-east of the former Poolend Farmhouse, likely dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble and brick, topped with hipped tiled roofs. The structure features four plus three open bays, arranged in a north-east to south-west alignment. Inside, there is a pegged king-post roof. This building is included for its group value as part of the farm complex associated with the former Poolend Farmhouse.
