Description
Court-y-Park is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It features a timber-frame structure with a sandstone rubble plinth and stacks topped with a brick shaft, all beneath a hipped slate roof. The building has a T-plan layout with the head facing southwest and includes a cellar and two storeys.
The southwest elevation of the cross-wing has four windows with late 19th-century wooden casements that are evenly spaced, except for the second window from the left on the first floor, which is lower, likely to accommodate a staircase. The left half of this elevation showcases exposed timber-framing, consisting of six panels high from the plinth to the wall-plate, while the right half is rendered around an external stack. There is also a two-window, single-storey extension on the left side. A door from around 1900 is located on the southeast side of the main range, near the junction with the cross-wing.
