SO 43 SW KINGSTONE CP -

6/35 Barn about 40 yards south- east of Kingstone Grange

GV II

Barn. Probably mid-C18. Sandstone rubble plinth, timber-frame, weatherboards and corrugated iron roof. Three bays aligned north-north-east/south-south-west. West elevation has ledged central two-leaved full-height doors to threshing floor; cow shelter (not of interest) masks right-hand side. Interior has raking struts from tie to principals at each side of threshing floor; gable trusses have three posts between ties and collars above which are V-struts (RCHM, Vol I, p 163).
