Description

This barn, located about 40 yards south of Kinford Farmhouse, is likely from the 18th century. It features a sandstone rubble plinth with weatherboards on a timber frame and has a corrugated iron roof. The barn has a rectangular seven-bay layout that runs roughly east to west. The north elevation includes a central pair of full-height ledged doors. The left and right sides are partially obscured by mid-20th century additions that have corrugated iron cladding. Inside, the barn has thin framing with one rectangular panel extending from the cill to the wall-plate. The trusses are designed with raking struts connecting the ties to the principals.
