Description
Thruxton Court is a farmhouse that may date back to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and around 1900. It is constructed of brick with tiled roofs and features brick stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the main range oriented north to south and a cross-wing that projects eastward at the southern end. It has a cellar and two storeys.
The east elevation displays a 1:4 window arrangement, featuring two-light casements and sash windows, along with a brick plat band between the floors. There are two gabled early 20th-century porches, one on either side of a central bay window. The main range has a large external brick stack on the right gable, while the left gable front appears to have been remodeled around 1900.
Inside, the farmhouse is noted for its heavy moulded ceiling beams in the ground floor rooms.
