Description
Dunswater Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century but was significantly remodeled in the late 18th century. It features a timber frame, brick construction, tiled roofs, and brick stacks. The main part of the building is rectangular and oriented roughly northeast to southwest, with two small wings that project to the northwest. The farmhouse has two storeys.
On the southeast elevation, there are four windows that are segmentally-headed 3-light casements, along with a glazed door on the left side. The northwest elevation includes a catslide roof and a central projecting timber-framed gable, with the timber framing exposed on the southern side of the northern wing. Inside, the farmhouse is noted for its heavy oak ceiling beams.
