Description
HOPE UNDER DINMORE CP HOPE UNDER DINMORE SD 55 SW 5/69 Cider mill, hay barn, tackroom and workshop about 30 yards north-east of Bury of Hope Farmhouse GV II Cider mill, hay barn, tackroom and workshop. Mid-C18. Part timber-framed and weatherboarded, part sandstone rubble with corrugated metal roof. Cider mill forms central range and is of four bays aligned north/south. Two levels. Main elevation has two ground floor windows, two loft openings, a doorway with a cambered head and a large archway. Interior: there is one row of square panels at eaves level, a tie-beam truss with latticed struts at the north end and collar and tie-beam trusses with struts elsewhere. Within the northern half of the building is a cider mill and press. Hay barn of probably five framed bays adjoins north end. Second bay from mill is open for access and there is a wagon bay with opposed cart entries and double doors in the fourth bay from the mill. Interior: framing of three panels from sill to wall-plate; roof has collar and tie-beam trusses with struts. Tackroom and workshop adjoins south end of mill. Three bays. Two levels. West elevation has two ground floor windows, a loft opening and two doorways. Interior not inspected.
