Description
Village Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 18th century with alterations made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble, with some timber-framing, painted brick, and rendered infill. The roof is plain tiled, and there are rubble end chimneys with 19th-century brick stacks. The building has two storeys and consists of four bays. The framing features two rows of square panels that are visible at the first floor level of the front elevation. The east front elevation includes four 2-light casements on both the ground and first floors. The main entrance, located in the third bay, features a gabled timber-framed porch built on a rubble base. This porch has a 2-light casement at its gable end and a partly-glazed door on its left side.
