Description
These cottages, numbered 22 to 25, are located on Mill Street, Kington. They likely date from the 18th century or earlier. Number 22 is constructed of painted brick, while the others are of painted stone rubble. The roofs are covered in Welsh slate, with a rubble ridge stack and a brick ridge stack on the right front. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a five-window front. A 20th-century dormer is visible on number 22. The windows are a mix of 19th-century two-light casements, a 20th-century metal casement, and a 20th-century inserted light. The doors are mostly 20th-century, with some 19th and 20th-century casements. The right-hand gable is roughcast. The rear of the building includes roughcast sections and a weatherboarded wing. The interior is believed to contain timber framing.
