Description
These are a group of cottages dating from the 18th century, located in Kington. They are constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with a Welsh slate roof. The cottages feature two prominent cross-axial rubble stacks at the front and one rubble stack at the end. The two-storey, five-window-range front elevation has 12/12 sliding sash windows, each set beneath a stone segmental arch. The windows now mostly contain 20th-century sliding sashes, although some original glass remains. The plank front doors are 20th-century replacements, with the exception of Nos. 20 and 21. A rounded, angled return on the left-hand side includes a 20th-century two-light casement window. The rear elevation also features 20th-century two-light casements and a plank door to No. 22.
