Description

Crabtree Cottage is an early 19th-century brick cottage located on Mill Street in Kington. The building is two storeys and has a three-window front. The windows are 6/6 sash windows, each topped with a painted gauged brick flat arch. The eaves are dentilled. A central entrance features a part-glazed 3-panel door, sheltered by a simple wooden flat hood supported by brackets and moulded pilasters. This hood is flanked by further 6/6 sash windows, also with deeper gauged brick flat arches. The left-hand return side is roughcast, while the right-hand return side is constructed of rubble. The rear of the cottage has three 20th-century casement windows, each set in a brick segmental arch. The roof is covered with Welsh slate and features brick end stacks, with the stack on the left side being roughcast.
