Description
The Former Old Wesleyan Chapel in Kington is a disused chapel dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a hipped corrugated iron roof with a small brick stack. The building has two storeys and a basement, with a three-window range that includes fixed lights with arched heads and some old glass, all set beneath ashlar semi-circular arches.
The entrance is located to the center left and consists of six fielded-panel double doors beneath a dressed stone flat arch, flanked by blocked lights that are also under semi-circular arches. There are two blocked basement windows under flat arches. On the left side, there are two 20th-century round-headed sash windows with 10/12 panes, located on the first floor and set under semi-circular arches. The right side features three 20th-century sashes, a blocked doorway in a central advanced bay, and similar sashes flanking it, all beneath ashlar semi-circular arches.
