Description
This building is a hay barn located about 80 yards east of Pontapina, likely dating from the mid-18th century. It has a rubble plinth with a timber-framed upper section that is covered in corrugated iron and weatherboards, topped with a slate roof. The barn consists of three bays arranged in a north-south orientation, featuring a central full-height entry on the west side. The plinth is high and battered at the southwest corner. The framing consists of two panels high, and the roof has three rows of purlins with raking strut trusses that are braced to tie-beams from dwarf walls, which frame the threshing floor.
