GV II

House. Early C19. Brick, hipped slate roofs, end stack to right of main block. Rectangular plan oriented north/south. Two storeys, 3 bays, one and a half storey stables to east. Flemish bond, dentilled eaves cornice. Windows have segmental heads, glazing-bar sashes; central window of first floor taller with semi-circular head. Central entrance through gabled C20 porch with glazed-door. Stables to east have small wooden mullioned window and tallet stairs to rear. Rear of main block has round- headed first floor window opposite that to front; stone hipped extension to north-east. West elevation has 2 canted bay windows with glazing-bar sashes to ground floor. Interior: kitchen in north-east corner has stop- chamfered C17 beam; principal room to south-west has early C19 black marble or scagliola chimney piece with moulded shelf supported by wide consoles above pilasters.
