Description

The Old House is a house that likely dates from the 16th century. It features a timber-frame structure with three tiers of close-studded plastered infill panels and a stone slate roof. There are two brick stacks, one located to the right of the center and one on the left side. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with the main range facing northwest.

The front elevation includes a gabled cross-wing to the northeast, which is of the same height as the main range to the right. The gable displays a herringbone pattern in its framing. The house has two storeys and three windows. The gable features centrally placed four-light 20th-century casements, one on each floor. The main range has two-light casements, also likely from the 20th century, positioned to the right of the entrance, with a similar window above the left ground floor window. A stone slate pentice weathering is present between the two floors. There is a ledged 19th-century door under a segmental head located to the right of the junction of the two ranges.

Inside, the principal room of the main range has deep roll mouldings on the ceiling beams.
