Description
Farmhouse. Likely dating from the late 17th to 18th century, with later 19th-century alterations. The farmhouse is timber-framed with plaster and brick infill, sandstone rubble and brick, and has a Welsh slate roof with brick stacks. It is arranged in an L-shape, with wings projecting to the north and east. A cellar is present, and the north/south wing has two storeys and an attic, while the east wing has one storey and an attic. The south elevation has two windows. A gabled front on the left side features a late 19th-century sash window in the centre of the ground floor, a 2-light casement window above it on the first floor, and a small one-light window on the first floor above a gabled entrance porch. Wall posts and principals are visible in the gable. To the right is the east wing, with two juxtaposed sashes within an early 20th-century gabled projection. An external corner stack is located to the extreme right. A row of timber-framed panelling rises from a rubble base level, aligned with the window heads of the gabled projection. Inside, the ground floor has heavy ceiling beams.
