Description
Llanderwen Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 18th century, with a late 19th-century extension. It features a timber frame with brick infill, finished in render, and has a roof made of stone slate and Welsh slate, along with brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of two timber-framed bays aligned north to south, with the 19th-century extension added to the north end. It is one storey high with an attic.
The east elevation does not have attic windows and has one four-paned early 20th-century window on either side of the entry in the timber-framed section. There is a late 19th-century ledged door located in an early 20th-century gabled porch with side lights. To the right of this, there is a second entry with an early 20th-century ledged door leading to the extension. The west elevation features two gabled dormers, which are either late 19th-century or early 20th-century, each with three-light casements in the timber-framed part. Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered ceiling beams and a ledged 18th-century door leading to the southernmost ground floor room.
