Description
The Edmund Miles memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 8 meters south of the south porch of the Church of St Deinst. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features a moulded plinth and capping, with corner balusters that have gadrooned bases and capping. It has a rectangular inscription panel surrounded by elaborate foliage and floral motifs in relief, which frames the inscription cartouche. The memorial commemorates Edmund Miles, who died in 1767.
