Description

The Miles memorial is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 13 metres north of the north aisle of the Church of St. Michael. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a plinth and oval panels on the main sides, which are flanked by recessed rectangular panels. The corners of the tomb are adorned with stylised floral carvings, and it has a pulvinated frieze, a moulded cornice, and a hipped top. It commemorates William Miles, who died in 1810.
