Description
The Miles Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 5 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Andrew. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a plinth and two recessed rectangular panels, which are flanked by a central pilaster and corner pilasters. The end panels are adorned with relief-carved lozenges, and it has a moulded flat top that bears an inscription. The monument commemorates Thomas Miles, who died in 1749.
