Description

The gate memorial is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 4 metres north of the nave of the Church of St. Michael. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a plinth and has two oval fielded panels on its sides, which are separated by fielded pilasters and surrounded by stylised floral carvings. It has plain corners, a pulvinated frieze, and a corniced flat top that includes additional tablets. The earliest date inscribed on the memorial is 1772.
