Description

This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 6 metres north of the porch of the Church of St. Michael. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a plinth and main side panels decorated with fine foliage. It has a pulvinated frieze at the base of the ends and corners, along with naturalistic oak carvings and cherubs on the end panels. The weathered top has corniced and scalloped edging. The incumbent commemorated on the tomb died in 1775, and there is evidence of a removed railed enclosure around it.
