Description

Carwardine Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which was largely rebuilt in the late 18th century and has had later alterations. It features a timber-framed porch, a brick structure, a hipped Welsh slate roof, and brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan with a small projecting wing of two bays attached at the west end.

The farmhouse is two storeys high, with the main elevation facing south. This side has three windows on the ground floor and one window above, arranged in a 3:1 pattern. There are two segmentally-headed late 20th-century casements on each floor to the left of the porch, and a small four-pane late 19th-century window in the gable front on the right side. The flat-roofed porch, located at the junction of the two wings, has a projecting first floor with a two-light mid-20th-century casement.

Notable features include moulded bressummers, corner posts, and four splat balusters on the open left side, with square panelling above the dado inside the porch. The entrance consists of a four-panelled late 19th-century door. The wing to the right has a dentilled brick eaves cornice.
