Description

The Leen is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, which has been extensively remodelled and extended during the late 19th century. It features a timber-framed core with later brick additions, and the south-west front is completely rendered. The building has a tiled roof and an irregular plan that is aligned northwest to southeast, with a 19th-century cross-wing to the southeast and a projecting porch on the south-west front.

The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics. On the south-west front, there is a blank brick refacing to the left of the main house, a small gabled dormer with a rectangular light in the upper left, and a central gable featuring a 2-light casement window. The first floor has two 3-light casement windows. To the left, there is a small gabled two-storey porch with a small light in the upper floor and an open ground floor that has a blocked former doorway. A penticed roof extends from the porch to the right cross-wing, which has a central gable over a 3-light casement window on the ground floor and a square-headed doorway with a panelled door to the right. The gable end of the 19th-century cross-wing has one 2-light casement window in the attic and 3-light casement windows on both the first and ground floors.

The interior is largely a result of late 19th-century alterations but retains some chamfered ceiling beams with ogee stops.
