Farmhouse, sub-divided into two tenements. Late C16 rear wing, early C17 main block and C20 additions. Partly rendered timber-framing with decorative framing in gables of main block; part wattle-and-daub, and part painted brick infill. Stone slate roof. Earlier wing of three bays aligned east/west with later wing added to west end and facing west, pair of rear lateral stacks to main wing and one lateral stack to south side of rear wing, all with decorative brick shafts (partly rebuilt); central entrance to main front with. central stair well. Two storeys and attics. West front: three gables with decorative ornamental framing, and each with leaded 2-light casements. Four 2-light cross-casements with ovolo moulded mullions to first floor, one similar window to left and a 3-light window to right of ledged door with 2- light overlight. Interior retains staircase with decorative splat balusters. Square newels with finials. Moulded ceiling beams in main ground floor rooms with ogee stops. The main block is an almost completely intact example of an early C17 symmetrically planned gentry house.
