Description
The Taylor memorial is a pedestal tomb located approximately 10 metres east of the chancel of the Church of Holy Trinity in Bosbury. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a moulded base and a moulded stepped domical capping, with pronounced convex short sides that are adorned with double swag enrichment. There are plain rectangular inscription panels. This memorial commemorates Joseph Taylor, who died in 1788, along with other members of his family. It is one of a pair of tombs, the other being the Stedman memorial.
