Description
The Edward Taylor memorial is a chest tomb located approximately 15 meters south of the south porch of the Church of St Deinst. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of sandstone ashlar. The tomb features a moulded plinth and a replaced capping, with fielded rectangular inscription panels that are flanked by plain corner balusters. Decorative elements include a draped urn with a swag on the shaped panels of the short sides. This memorial commemorates Edward Taylor, who died in 1797.
