Description

This building is a barn located about 15 yards east of Old Castle, likely dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and features a corrugated iron roof. The barn has a rectangular plan with approximately four or five bays, oriented roughly east to west, and consists of two levels.

The east gable includes vent loops and a central opening for the loft above. On the south elevation, there are eight vent loops at the first floor level and a loft opening positioned to the left of center. The ground floor features three ledged doors, along with a stable door to the right, all of which have cambered heads. Although the interior was inaccessible during the last survey in November 1986, it was noted to have trusses with raking struts. Old Castle itself is not included in this listing.
