Description

This barn, located about 15 yards north-northwest of Lower House Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It features a timber frame with weatherboard and rubble end walls. The roof is tiled at the front and pantiled at the rear. The barn consists of three bays, with an entrance at the southwest end of the rear. It has been extended at the rear beyond the frame in stone, with a catslide continuation of the main roof. Inside, there are cambered tie-beams supported by coarse knee-braces and raking struts to the principals. A King Edward VII post-box is incorporated into the frontage facing the road.
