Description
This barn, located about 15 yards north-east of The Cottage, is likely from the late 17th to 18th century and has undergone some later alterations. It features a timber frame with brick infill and weatherboarding, topped with a corrugated iron roof and a late 19th-century brick end stack. The barn has a rectangular plan with four to five bays, oriented roughly east to west, and consists of two levels. The south elevation is weatherboarded in the center and to the right, with full-height, two-leaved ledged doors positioned to the right of center. To the left, there are three mid-20th-century glazing bar casements and two ledged doors. Inside, the barn contains some trusses with queen struts and others with raking struts. This structure is included for its group value.
