5/26 Nupton Cottage

  • II Cottage. Probably late C17 or C18 with later alterations. Timber-framed mainly finished in roughcast and partly clad in corrugated iron. Welsh slate roof and brick stacks. Rectangular plan aligned north-west/south-east. Two storeys. South elevation has three windows, 2-light mid-C19 casements. Ground floor has 3-light casement to left-hand side. Two entries, each with ledged door, to right and left of centre. North-east gable has exposed framing with brick infill, which is three square panels high from cill to tie. Interior noted as having heavy ceiling beams and framed cross-wall is said to have complete wall-framing and trusses.
