Description
Nupton Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the late 17th century or 18th century, with some later alterations. It is primarily timber-framed, finished in roughcast, and partly clad in corrugated iron. The roof is made of Welsh slate and features brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan oriented north-west to south-east and stands two storeys tall.
On the south elevation, there are three windows, which are 2-light mid-19th century casements. The ground floor has a 3-light casement on the left-hand side. There are two entries, each with a ledged door, located to the right and left of the centre. The north-east gable reveals exposed framing with brick infill, consisting of three square panels high from the cill to the tie. Inside, the cottage has heavy ceiling beams, and the framed cross-wall is noted to have complete wall-framing and trusses.
