Description
This building is a barn and cowhouse located about 10 metres south of Lower Burton Farmhouse. It dates from the 17th century, with some repairs made in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The structure is timber-framed with fibreboard infill and is partially covered with weatherboarding, all beneath a tiled roof. It consists of five framed bays running north to south, with the barn occupying the three southern bays and featuring a central threshing floor. The west front has the barn on the right, which includes full-height double doors. On the left side, there are three entrances for cows, each with boarded doors, as well as loft doors positioned above.
