Description
This is an outbuilding located about 15 metres west of Croft Farmhouse, dating from the late 16th century and extended in the early 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, weatherboarded, and sits on a brick and rubble plinth. The building has four framed bays that are aligned north to south.
The east front, facing the farmyard, has two storeys and features a jettied design on the right-hand two bays. The bay to the left of the centre is likely underbuilt in rubble. On the first floor, there is a central window with leaded lights. The ground floor includes four entrances, most of which still have their original ledged and boarded doors. The framing is mostly not visible but is likely composed of four square panels high. The bressummer of the jetty is chamfered and supported at the north end by a curved bracket.
