Description
Croft Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with an extension added in the late 17th century, along with some alterations from the early 19th century and mid-20th century. The building is timber-framed with roughcast infill set on a rendered plinth, topped with a tile roof that is hipped at the north end. It features three framed bays that run north to south, with an additional late 17th-century bay on the south side, which is built against a jettied gable. There is an external stack on the south gable.
The west front has two storeys and includes three 2-light casement windows on the upper floor, while the ground floor has two 2-light casements as well. The entrance is located to the right of the centre and features a 20th-century gabled and tiled porch with a half-glazed door. The framing consists of four square panels high with straight angle braces in the early 17th-century section. The jettied south gable is obscured by the later addition.
