Description

Woofferton Court Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed from coursed stone rubble and brick, topped with a roof of small slates. The building features a front range with rear gabled extensions that connect to a parallel rear range. It has a projecting stone end-stack from the 18th century, with a 19th-century brick shaft at the north end, and 19th-century brick lateral stacks at the rear. The roofs have been restored in the 19th century and include plain bargeboard verges and deep eaves.

The exterior is two stories with a basement and has a three-window facade. The first floor has 8/8 sash windows, while the ground floor features sashes arranged as 8/8, 6/6, and 4/8, all with margin lights. Each sash is topped with a brick segmental arch and rests on a stone sill. A simple projecting gabled porch with trellised sides leads to a four-panelled front door. The right gable end has an 8/8 first-floor sash above a hipped slate-roofed canted bay window, which contains 8/8 and 4/4 sashes. The south wall of the rear extension continues the gable end and includes 8/8 sashes with keyed stone lintels and stone sills. The north rear extension features 8/8 19th-century first-floor sashes in the brick walls and a twin casement in the ground-level side wall. The 19th-century parallel rear range to the east has gable ends with single 8/8 sashes, also with keyed stone lintels and stone sills at both storeys, and a sash at ground-floor level only on the east side wall. The interior has not been inspected.
