Description

STAUNTON-ON-WYE CP - SO 34 NE 4/109 Shelter shed about 50 yards north-east Handmore Farmhouse GV II Shelter shed. Probably late C18 or earlier C19, with later alterations. Sandstone rubble and timber-frame with weatherboarding and corrugated asbestos roof. Rectangular plan aligned north-north-west/south-south-east of about eight bays. West elevation has weatherboarding to left part and row of oak posts continuing to the right. East elevation is similar but reversed. Interior has longitudinal rubble spine wall carrying racks and trough to each side. Included for group value. Handmore Farmhouse is not included in this list.
