Description
Bliss Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century, with later alterations. It features a timber-frame structure and sandstone rubble, topped with tiled roofs and sandstone rubble and brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan of about five bays, oriented roughly east to west, and consists of one storey and an attic.
The south elevation displays three windows, with gabled dormers featuring 2-light casements. The ground floor includes 2- and 3-light casements from the late 18th to early 19th century. The entrance is roughly central, and to the right, there is a granary attached under a continuous roof, which includes tallet stairs. The farmhouse showcases exposed framing. The rear elevation has a sandstone rubble extension beneath a lean-to roof. Although access to the interior was refused, it is noted to have heavy ceiling beams.
