Description

This barn, located about 10 yards west of Lower House Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame, weatherboard, and rubble end walls, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of three bays, with the main entrance altered to the center bay from the rear. Inside, there are slightly cambered tie-beams and raking struts. Until recently, the barn housed a cider mill and press in the center bay. Its construction is very similar to that of the other barn at Lower House Farmhouse.
