Description
This is a range of barns located approximately 30 meters south-west of Burghill Manor, dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. The barns are timber-framed and sit on a sandstone plinth, featuring a combination of painted brick infill and weatherboard cladding. The structure includes a five-bay barn with stabling and a loft that runs east to west, and a seven-bay barn that is aligned north to south, which is attached to the east. There is a threshing floor entrance on the north side. The barns have inclined strut trusses and trusses with two struts to the collar, and they feature four square panels that extend from the sill to the wall-plate.
