Description
This building is a barn located about 15 metres south of Westbrook Court, dating from the late 17th century. It is a bank barn constructed with a timber frame on a rubble plinth, partially weatherboarded and featuring some brick infill, topped with a corrugated iron roof. The barn consists of four framed bays, with the threshing floor positioned south of the centre. The two northern bays are floored and serve as cowhouses, taking advantage of the hill slope. There are two entrances to the cowhouses leading to the yard on the right side of the east front. The framing consists of two square panels high, with the south gable made of rubble. The north gable features four queen struts supporting the collar, with V-struts in the apex, and the intermediate trusses include two raking struts.
