Description
Newhouse Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse that has undergone mid-19th century and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of rubble and features a hipped concrete tile roof. The layout consists of two by two rooms with a central stair hall. There are two corner stacks on the left wall and a central stack on the right wall, all with brick shafts. The building has two storeys and an attic, which is lit by three 20th-century skylights.
On the exterior, there are three mid-19th century two-light casement windows under flat arches. The ground floor has two three-light casements flanking the entrance, which is covered by a flat wooden canopy supported by wooden posts. The entrance features a three-panelled door, with the upper two panels being glazed. Inside, there are six-panelled doors and cupboards with raised and fielded panels in the front left room. The staircase dates from the mid-19th century.
