Description
Lower Broadmeadow Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of painted rubble and features a stone slate roof. The building has a three-room layout with a central entrance and gable-end stacks, the larger of which is located at the northeast end. There is a 19th-century kitchen extension to the northeast. The farmhouse has two storeys above a cellar and displays irregular window arrangements. On the first floor, there are four windows: a single light casement, a four-pane sash, a two-light casement, and another four-pane sash. The ground floor features two four-pane sashes beneath square labels, flanking the central entrance, which has a square label and a plank door. Additionally, there is a small low window to the right of the entrance, also with a square label. Inside, the farmhouse has ogee moulded and stopped ceiling beams, and the walls on both sides of the central room are made of plank-and-stud construction.
