Description

This is a barn located about 50 yards south-east of Hill Farmhouse, likely built in the early 19th century. It is constructed from sandstone rubble with a brick and tiled roof, featuring three bays that are aligned north-west to south-west. The north-west elevation has full-height ledged doors leading to the threshing floor in the center bay, with a diamond-shaped ventilator pattern to the right of the doors. The south-west gable includes brick ventilator panels. Inside, the barn has pegged trusses with angle braces and queen struts connecting the ties to the collars and principals. This barn is part of a group with another barn located to the south-west of Hill Farmhouse, which is not included in this listing. It is noted for its group value.
