Description

The Kerry Arms Hotel is a late 19th-century hotel located in Hereford. It features painted brick and stucco construction, with a plain tile twin gabled roof and a brick stack at the rear. The building stands three storeys high and likely has a cellar. The facade has a three-window arrangement, with a central transom light beneath a hood moulding, flanked by canted oriel windows that include mullion and transom lights, quatrefoil decoration, crenellation, and moulded underhangs. There are light and flanking cross-windows under linked hood mouldings, as well as blind openings beneath hood mouldings. The coped gables with kneelers are topped with enriched finials, and the building features quoins. The central entrance, which is from the 20th century, is set in a recessed bay and is flanked by mullion and transom lights with hood mouldings. On the left and right sides, there are two cross-windows on the first and second floors, with mullion and transom windows on the ground floor, all featuring hood mouldings and moulded bands. Inside, there is a 20th-century staircase, and the cellar is lined with brick and partly with stone at the front.
